A skill is a set of saved instructions for a task you do regularly. Instead of explaining the task to the general chatbot every time, you write it down once and the chatbot follows your skill. Skills live under Skills in the chat section of the sidebar, right below New Chat.

Using a skill

Everyone starts with two skills: Prep my next meeting and Recap my last call. You can remove them if you do not need them. Select a skill and optionally add extra instructions. Or just type the request, for example “Prep my next meeting”: the chatbot recognizes that a skill matches and uses it automatically. Prep my next meeting looks up your next meeting in your calendar and prepares you with the relevant information it finds in Spott: who is attending, the context to bring, open threads and a suggested agenda.
Typing "prep my next meeting" triggers the Prep my next meeting skillThe meeting briefing the skill produces, with its sources

Creating your own skill

To create a skill, give it:
  1. A name, for example Moving applications through the pipeline.
  2. A description of when to use it, for example Use this skill when I advance candidates in a job pipeline.
  3. The instructions, for example First move the candidate in the pipeline. Afterwards, give a quick summary of who else is in this stage and whether the candidate I just moved is a better fit. Markdown is supported.
New skills are personal. You can edit them later and share them with your workspace so everyone can use them.

From then on, the chatbot applies the skill automatically whenever it fits. With the example above, asking to move two candidates triggers the skill: after the move, you get the summary of the other candidates in that stage.
