Spott ships a release every week. The highlights land here; smaller fixes and polish ship continuously.

Candidates from your phone, and SAP Fieldglass

  • File uploads on mobile: add a candidate from a document without waiting until you are back at a laptop. Upload a file from your phone, or photograph a printed CV or an ID card on the spot, and Spott parses it into a candidate record. Needs app version 1.30 or above on iOS and Android. Read the guide.
  • SAP Fieldglass: connect jobs and candidates to a client’s Fieldglass instance. Map their statuses to your stages once, and Spott moves candidates through the pipeline as the client updates them, so nobody has to watch the client’s portal and keep your board in step by hand. Read the guide.
Also new
  • Re-transcribing a call in a specific language when the VoIP provider detected the wrong one, plus copying and downloading the transcript as you already could on meetings
  • ZIP and postal code filtering on every Location filter, not just on candidates
  • Image files on the CV parser, which is what lets a photographed CV become a profile
  • A workspace-wide default stage for inbound applications, under Settings and Stages, instead of setting it on every new job
  • Rejection labels and reasons on the Company Portal, so a client sees why an application closed and not only that it did
  • Every Company Portal view recorded rather than only a contact’s first one, so repeat interest in a candidate is visible
  • The placement fee in the currency it was agreed in, next to the converted figure, in placement tables
  • Filtering and sorting VDAB synced CVs on when they were last updated on VDAB, not only when they arrived in Spott
  • Autocompletes that keep loading as you scroll, instead of stopping at the first twenty results
  • A permission for creating and editing company hierarchies
  • Montserrat added to the fonts you can send email in
  • Icelandic added as a language option
  • Country ISO codes on every location in the API, and patching a client’s location

A refreshed Calendar, and automations for the commercial side

  • Calendar refresh: a cleaner Calendar, and a new Meetings view showing every meeting scheduled against a record in Spott. Filter by colleague to see who your team has been in touch with and when, without opening a single record. Read the guide.
  • Opportunities in automations: Opportunity created, moved and updated, plus Client created, now trigger background automations, with matching actions to update an opportunity or a client. Business development runs on the same rails as recruiting. Read the guide.
Also new
  • Pin is now a direct integration, so pushing candidates into Spott no longer costs an integration fee to Pin
  • Global search returns one result per person, instead of a row for every company they are a contact at and another for being a candidate
  • Comments in the browser extension, and creating a contact at a company Spott has never seen, both without leaving the page you are on
  • Linking a record to a note opens a full search dialog, for when three people share a surname
  • A job description language you set when you create the job, instead of American English every time
  • Area code filters on phone numbers, on both Candidates and Contacts
  • The stage an application was created in, now on its activity feed and in the API
  • An optional phone number on scheduler bookings, so a no-show is still reachable
  • In-app or email notifications when an eSignature envelope is completed
  • Job autocompletes anywhere in Spott now put open jobs first
  • Create contact and create company on the MCP server
  • A tidier editor toolbar when you select text, and a clearer Company Portal status column on job pipelines

WhatsApp Business, and defaults for every Company Portal

  • WhatsApp Business: send from your business number using templates WhatsApp has approved, to one person or to a whole shortlist at once. Variables fill in per recipient, so a bulk send still reaches everyone with their own name and their own job. Read the guide.
  • Company Portal defaults: decide once how new portals should be configured, instead of setting the same toggles on every job. Files such as your Terms of Business can be attached automatically too. Read the guide.
Also new
  • Contact details on the side of spec and non-spec applications, so a pipeline works like a call list
  • Continent filters for Europe, North and South America, Asia, Africa and Oceania
  • A column showing whether a candidate is published on the Company Portal, on both the Jobs list and board
  • VoIPPlay calls arriving through webhooks, cutting the wait from around 10 minutes to under one
  • Browser back button behaving as you would expect when pages open in an overlay
  • A clearer, more informative “mentioned in a comment” notification
  • Contact name, email and phone as variables in placement automations
  • A font size selector in every email dialog, shown when you select text, and Aptos as a supported font
  • CVs sent to cv@spott.io or bulk parsed now set you as the candidate’s Main Contact
  • A description field on custom attributes in the data model
  • Call and meeting summaries that no longer skip salary, compensation and benefits

Comments on records, and bulk actions on their contacts

  • Comments: discuss a candidate, contact, company, or note on the record itself instead of in a chat tool, and @mention a colleague to notify them in the app or by email. The question and everything it refers to finally live in the same place. Read the guide.
  • Bulk contact actions: select rows on a Companies, Jobs, or Opportunities table and act on every contact linked to them at once, whether that is an email, an SMS, a presentation, or enrollment in a campaign. No more opening records one by one. Read the guide.
  • Relative date filters: filter on windows that move with today, such as “last 30 days” or “next 7 days”, so a saved view keeps meaning the same thing tomorrow instead of quietly becoming a report about the past. Read the guide.
Also new
  • Importing an opportunity from a URL, in the platform and in the next release of the browser extension, the way jobs already worked
  • A redesigned in-app notification feed, split into read and unread
  • More detail on the campaign picker when you enroll someone, so two similarly named sequences are no longer easy to confuse
  • Filtering Contacts on a missing or present email address or phone number, as you already could on Candidates
  • DataChecker for identity checks, with ID verification and verified upload
  • Webhooks for job descriptions created and updated
  • Filtering Notes down to the ones with no owner
  • Deactivated users offered in the user filters on Notes, Lists, and Placements
  • Candidate file expires, Company file expires and Candidate reference created as automation triggers
  • Sorting the Jobs tab on a company profile
  • Custom file attributes writable through the private API

SMS from Spott, and a cleaner Notes layout

  • SMS: send and receive text messages straight from a candidate or contact, using the SMS-capable numbers on your VoIP account. RingRing, RingCentral, Ringover, and Aircall are supported to start with, so one more channel stops living on your phone. Read the guide.
  • Refreshed Notes layout: labels, properties, and linked records moved into a side panel instead of a row of badges above the note, which makes a note far easier to scan when you open it. Read the guide.
  • Refreshed documentation: new and rewritten guides across the product, and the help links inside Spott now take you to the matching page instead of the front door.
Also new

  • Live job board postings as a column or card row on the Jobs table and board, with filtering
  • Sorting on the Dashboard pipeline summary
  • A configurable daily campaign limit per connected email account

  • Converting a contract placement into a permanent contingent placement
  • Private API endpoints for speculative application stages and custom attributes on attachments

Multi-language job descriptions and message templates in Automations

  • Multi-language job descriptions: create and manage localized versions of the same job description, so you can advertise one role in several markets without maintaining separate jobs. Read the guide.
  • Message templates in Automations: pick one of your existing message templates in an automation’s send email action instead of rewriting the message, so automated communication stays consistent and is faster to set up. Read the guide.

  • Company Portal stage filters: publish candidates to the Company Portal automatically as they move through your pipeline, and configure which stages trigger publication, so only candidates at the right stages are shared. Read the guide.
