Sync your WhatsApp conversations into Spott so candidate messages are kept alongside the rest of their history, instead of living only on your phone.
This page covers syncing your own WhatsApp account. To send from a shared business number using approved templates, including to many recipients at once, see WhatsApp Business. You can run both.

Connect

Go to Settings → Accounts, find WhatsApp under Messaging, and click Connect. Spott tells you exactly what the connection does before you confirm:
  • Your WhatsApp session is connected to Spott, giving access to your contacts and message history
  • You can read and send WhatsApp messages directly from Spott
  • Spott never sends messages on your behalf without your explicit action
  • You can disconnect at any time
Accept the terms and click Sync with WhatsApp.
The Connect WhatsApp account dialog
Once connected, your conversations with people in your Spott database sync automatically and appear on their profiles and in the Inbox.
Only workspace admins can enable this integration. If you don’t see this option, contact your workspace admin.

Privacy

Your WhatsApp conversations are visible only to you, the user who connected the account. Unlike email, where each user chooses how much to share with the team, WhatsApp messages are never visible to other workspace members.

Staying connected

WhatsApp periodically requires you to re-establish the link to Spott, much like other services occasionally ask you to sign in again. This is a standard WhatsApp security measure. When it happens, reconnect from Settings → Accounts → Messaging: Spott then syncs the conversations from the disconnected period, so no messages are lost.

Troubleshooting

If your settings show WhatsApp as connected but messages stop appearing on candidate profiles, or messages only flow in one direction, disconnect and reconnect the integration. This establishes a fresh session and re-syncs recent conversations. If messages still don’t appear afterwards, reach out to support.
