# DataChecker

> Run identity checks on candidates from Spott: ID verification and verified document upload.

DataChecker brings **identity checks** into Spott. Use it when a placement requires you
to prove who someone is: the candidate verifies their identity document, and the
verified result comes back onto their record instead of living in a mailbox.

Two checks are supported:

* **ID verification**: the candidate's identity document is checked against the issuing
  source, so you hold a verified result rather than a photo of a passport.
* **Verified upload**: the candidate uploads a document through DataChecker, which
  confirms it before it reaches you.

## Connect

Enable DataChecker under **Settings → Integrations → DataChecker** and connect your
DataChecker account.

  Only workspace admins can enable this integration. A DataChecker account is required.
